FAQ

Service professionals can sign up directly or be referred from other users or businesses. If you know someone who has performed exceptional work for you in the past, please let them know about True Home! Importantly, there is no cost for service professionals to join our network. We want the best professionals out there and we recognize that not everyone has the resources to invest in advertising. We help professionals across the home improvement spectrum find work while facilitating the project through our platform.

There is no cost to sign up - as either a contractor or homeowner. True Home charges a small fee on any projects that are awarded to service professionals through the platform.

After you've created your project, you're ready to request some quotes! True Home will provide a list of service professionals who are local to you. However, if there's someone you know you'd like to work with, please feel free to request a quote from them. On your project homepage you can add more details about your project; dimensions, photographs, and plans can all be uploaded directly on the project page. Once you're ready to request some quotes, hit the blue 'request quotes' button on your project page. This will bring up a list of service professionals in your area. Select a few that you'd like to receive quotes from, by pushing the 'request quote' button at the bottom of each of the service professional's listing. True Home reserves the right to request quotes from additional service professionals to make sure that you are getting multiple quotes for each project.

Register with True Home and log in to your True Home account. On the left side of the screen is your True Home dashboard. Select 'New Project' and you'll be taken to a new project page. Give your project a name and describe what you want to do. The more information you can share, the better. If more information is required to proceed - we'll let you know! Give us all the details! True Home has noticed that the more details a homeowner can give, the more successful a project is. Take a few measurements (no worries if these are approximate, the contractor will need to come and get accurate measurements in order to create a final quote), upload some photos, and add some inspiration from Houzz. Use the dropdown menu 'Project Type' to select the general category of your project. Add the address of the project at the bottom of the page and give it a nickname so that you can use it easily for other projects. Once you've got all your information in, hit 'Start Project' and your first project has been created! Your project will now be listed on the left of your screen. You can navigate directly to that project's page by clicking on the name.

Your privacy is important to us. We use industry-standard security practices to store any personal information you provide to us. We only share information from your project with the contractors who need the information to bid on your project. We never sell or give your information out to other 3rd parties.

Once you've made a quote request, True Home contacts service professionals to create a quote for your project. In most instances, the service professional will need to contact you to measure, discuss options, and verify the details of your project. True Home will never sell your contact information. We will only provide it to service professionals who are insured and licensed appropriately.

We bring quotes directly to your inbox and then work with you and the service professional to complete the project to your satisfaction. All within one, simple platform - True Home. True Home also gives you the peace of mind that payments are not released to contractors until you give the ok - they don't get paid until you are 100% satisfied!
