PAYMENTS & COMPLIANCE

The Compliance Gate for Every Dollar You Pay a Sub.

Collect from clients, verify every sub's insurance, W-9, and lien waiver, and release payment the moment you approve the work. Money can't move to a non-compliant sub — it's structurally impossible.

How It Works

Funds in. Compliance verified. Subs paid.

1

Client funds the draw

Collect from your client by ACH or card through Stripe and Plaid. Funds are held until the work is approved.

2

Sub uploads compliance once

COI, W-9, and lien waiver, uploaded a single time — then tracked and renewed automatically across every job.

3

You approve the work

Approve a milestone or work item. Compliance is re-checked at the moment of payment, not just at onboarding.

4

Payment releases

The sub is paid on approval. Standard payout is free; subs can choose to expedite for a fee — the choice is theirs, not yours.

The Gate

An uninsured sub on your site is your liability.

An expired COI isn't a paperwork problem — it's your liability on the next incident. A sub without current coverage causes damage or injury on your job, and you're the one exposed.

Most tools send you an alert and leave the rest to you. True Home is different: when compliance lapses, the money simply will not move.

True Home doesn't just remind you — it makes non-compliant payment impossible.

COI verified before every payment

Coverage is re-checked at payout, not just at onboarding. A cert that lapsed mid-project blocks the next release.

W-9 and lien waiver on file

Tax documentation and waivers are collected up front and attached to the payment trail your lender and title company expect.

For Your Subs

Free for your subs. They pay only if they choose faster payment.

Getting paid on True Home costs your subs nothing at standard speed. If a sub wants their money faster, they can choose to expedite — and they cover that fee, not you. Your trade relationships stay protected.

Standard payout is free

Subs onboard once and get paid at standard speed at no cost to them.

Expedited is opt-in

A sub who wants money sooner can pick a faster payout option and cover the fee themselves.

Your relationships protected

The best trades come back to the GC who pays them fast and clean. Reputation compounds.

FAQ

Questions builders ask first

Do I have to stop using my current PM software?

No. True Home works alongside your project management platform. Keep your schedule, dailies, and selections where they are — route only the money and the compliance through True Home. Most builders start by running just payments and compliance through us on day one.

Who holds the funds?

Funds move through regulated payment partners (Stripe and Plaid). True Home is the platform that orchestrates the flow — collecting from the client, holding until you approve the work, and releasing to the sub. True Home is a neutral platform provider, not a party to your construction contract.

What happens if a sub's COI lapses mid-project?

Payment to that sub is blocked until coverage is current. Compliance is re-checked at the moment of payment, not just at onboarding, so a certificate that expired after a sub was approved still stops the next release. You and the sub are notified so it can be resolved quickly.

How fast do subs get paid?

Payment releases as soon as you approve the work. Standard payout is free. A sub who wants their money sooner can choose an expedited option at checkout and cover that fee themselves — cutting the days from approval to sub payment.

What do subs pay?

Nothing at standard speed. Subs pay only if they opt into faster payment. The GC's cost is 1% of payments processed, capped at $10,000 a year, with no per-user fees and no annual contract.
